About Me
Hi! My name is Cheryl and I am sooo excited to start this new venture! I have been playing with beads since about 1998, when I started like most other beaders, with mother's bracelets. They weren't very well known here in Ohio at the time and after a few months, I packed everything away - no one seemed to be interested. Then, a few years ago at a Tastefully Simple party, the hostess passed around a binder full of pictures of jewelry that a friend had made. Yup, you guessed it! They were mother's bracelets! I was devastated - if only I hadn't given up so soon! That's when I discovered a bead store had opened in the area. After a few trips, I was hooked again and unpacked my beads. Slowly, the orders started coming in. After one very busy week where I was in the bead store everyday, the owner offered me a job. I was there for two years. During that time, I made some wonderful friends and learned a lot about designs and techniques.
Now, I am branching out on my own. I decided to concentrate on medic id tags since a friend suggested it and there doesn't seem to be too many people doing this kind of beading. It's worth a try!
On the homefront, I have a wonderful hubby, Tom, who works hard so I can stay home and play with beads. Our daughter, Kristen, is a sophomore at Ohio University, majoring in pharmacy. Our son, TD, is a freshman at Jackson High School. He plays the trumpet in the band and soon will be playing on the tennis team. Last but not least, there is Dodger, our boxer/black lab, who thinks she owns the whole family!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. Contact me any time with questions or comments!
